CYCI108 Challenge -Simple, Elegant Wedding Card

I played along with the Can You Case It Challenge 108 this week! The sketch is so simple and I loved it! Do you ever have a picture of a card in your head…but then you create it and you’re like, “Well, that didn’t turn out like I thought it would”…yeah me too. However, this card was different! I LOVE the way it turned out! It’s simple and elegant.

I used the February Paper Pumpkin kit, Hello Sunshine. SUCH a fun kit! One of Stampin’ Up’s best! I just added some Blushing Bride card stock, Basic Black card stock, It’s My Party design paper and washi tape. I used the mini heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack and punched out a little heart from the excess gold foil adhesive sheet from the kit! I also punched a Blushing Bride glimmer paper one. So cute! This is the perfect wedding card…now who’s getting married this year?? 😉

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

And here are the products I used for this card: (One thing though, if you get the refill Paper Pumpkin kit, it will not have a stamp set or ink – but that’s OK, you can use ANY stamps you have!)

Paper Craft Crew Challenge PCCCS181 – Number of Years & Valentine’s Day

Hi Everyone!

So I’m finally participating in the challenge over at the Paper Craft Crew!  Pam, aren’t you proud of me?? My hope is to be a regular participant! Pam Staples and I go way back…well back to 2011, where we first met. We were roomies for my first Stampin’ Up! Convention year, which was such a great one. (had a little drama at the house we rented from another roommate, but we all survived! ha!)  Overall it was a great experience! That’s what I’ll always remember. We’ve been Facebook friends ever since! 🙂

This was such a cute sketch that we had to play with. I had to make an Anniversary card for my sweet friend Dixie, who’s been married 33 years today! She is the sweetest little lady and makes beautiful hand-knit items. If you need a special hand-knit gift, she’s your lady! Check out her site HERE. (I’m working on her website – trying to make it better, still in the works!)

I love this stamp set Number of Years and the matching Large Number framelits. Even though my framelits are on backorder and still in the mail! You can’t really tell I “fussy” cut the 3’s can you?? Ugh, such a pain lol. I’ll be making more birthday and anniversary cards when I get the framelits! 😉 I just love this color combo though…and thanks for the great sketch Pam!

Happy Valentine’s Day too! It’s funny how the dynamics of a relationship change. Now instead of a quiet, romantic dinner for two, it ended up being a loud, fast paced spaghetti dinner for 4! It was great and fun spending the time with my loves…just not your typical V-day dinner. Even though we had a cartoon on in the car on the way, my son still fell asleep! (He’d gone all day without a nap) So when we got there my husband carried him in and he was a little cranky. He perked up though, especially after the offer of a little Sprite.

And of course I had to include a picture of THIS face….and a little selfie action. Not sure why my husband didn’t get the wear pink or red memo…

Thanks for stopping by! And Happy Valentine’s Day!
