CYCI108 Challenge -Simple, Elegant Wedding Card

I played along with the Can You Case It Challenge 108 this week! The sketch is so simple and I loved it! Do you ever have a picture of a card in your head…but then you create it and you’re like, “Well, that didn’t turn out like I thought it would”…yeah me too. However, this card was different! I LOVE the way it turned out! It’s simple and elegant.

I used the February Paper Pumpkin kit, Hello Sunshine. SUCH a fun kit! One of Stampin’ Up’s best! I just added some Blushing Bride card stock, Basic Black card stock, It’s My Party design paper and washi tape. I used the mini heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack and punched out a little heart from the excess gold foil adhesive sheet from the kit! I also punched a Blushing Bride glimmer paper one. So cute! This is the perfect wedding card…now who’s getting married this year?? 😉

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Mojo Monday 419 – Stampin Up Wedding Card

This will be a quick post since it’s so late! I’ve been working on wedding banners and things for my mother in law’s wedding, which is next week! So of course we will need a Congrats card. There was one similar to this that Stampin Up came out with and I just tweaked it a little using this weeks sketch over at Mojo Monday.

Here is this week’s sketch! I had some difficulties with the layout, but once I got going it finally came together. My mother in law, Cindy, is having a dessert table that will be decorated with burlap, linen and lace. So I made this card to go along with it!

For the heart, I cut it out from the spiderweb doily, the inked the back of it with Soft Sky. The designer paper I used is Season of Cheer. I love how you can use several pieces of it for “other” occasion cards, not just Christmas…we all know how much leftover DSP we have after the holidays! 😉 I’m sure I’ll be posting some cards using leftovers later in December! 🙂
